The award winning Hertzog Homestead Event Venue is your home for rustic weddings and events, right in the heart of Amish and Mennonite farmland. Located in Lancaster County, the historic 1760s Sweitzer Bank Barn creates a beautiful atmosphere for your ceremony, and offers an authentic feel to your event, complete with spacious yards and nearby woods.
Our Carriage House suites hosts a bridal lounge with a kitchenette and bathroom. It is also home to the romantic Hertzog Suite, our honeymoon suite, which has sweeping views of the rolling Lancaster farmland and a private garden Jacuzzi.
If you are looking to take some stress out of your wedding day, consider indulging in a relaxing 60 minute therapeutic massage. The massage will take place in our cozy Spa Cottage by our licensed massage therapist.
The Homestead, built in the 1760s, has been in the family since 1786. The rustic barn has a beautiful limestone gable backdrop and a soaring ceiling accented with tobacco rails and early 1800s wood shingling.
In an effort to give back to the global community, a portion of the proceeds of wedding events will go towards educational projects in Haiti.

Afternoon Tea Parties
Located in a tastefully appointed private meeting room, our afternoon tea parties are perfect for bridal showers, baby showers, retirement parties, birthdays, and ladies day out. Imagine entering this tranquil space already adorned with linens and fine china, ready for tea service by your innkeeper. Our wonderful cook Elva prepares our tea parties with the utmost care and attention to detail. Tea party menu may include: finger sandwiches, scones, tea cakes and buns, pastries, cakes, or chocolates. Tea parties would be approximately two hours long and would include parking on site, tables with fine linens and background music.
Minimum 15 persons maximum 25 persons.
Cost is $35 per person (includes parking and gratuity)
