Spring Into Action

Now that Easter has passed, the Hertzog Homestead has sprung into action.  Not only are brides booking weddings for the summer and fall (we have 8 slots left), but our new Spa Cottage is in full swing, offering therapeutic massages. And the best part of this is that you don’t have to be a guest at our bed and breakfast to use this.  Preparations for Fourth annual Haiti Benefit Auction on May 21st are in full swing.  We would love to have you come out and support Haiti Partner and Christian Aid Ministries and their work in Haiti. Haiti is a country that has been near and dear to our hearts.

And now, when you book a future stay with us, you can also add-on an Amish Backroads Tour that explores the Amish countryside, one room schoolhouses, and country stores; an Old Fashioned Picnic with gourmet cheeses, meats, breads and fruits in the woods of our property or in the privacy of your own room; or baking an Apple Pie with Elva where you can sit down with our Old Order Mennonite cook, watch as she prepares a pie from scratch, chat with her about living in an Old Order Mennonite and Amish Community, and take the pie home in the end.

And if you are looking to stay with us in April and May, dates are very limited.  All weekends are booked, but there are some days during the weeks still available.  If you want them, you will need to spring into action.  Summer stays will give you a little bit more flexability.
